Studied First Year Graphic Design At Design School Southern Africa. 2010

I was always quite a creative and artistic person but I was inspired to go into photography when I was studying graphic design. I started seeing everything as if I was looking through a viewfinder. I actually annoy people around me because everywhere I look, I see things that give me ideas for photoshoots and get all excited. Doing photoshoots and then getting to see the final product after all of the post processing gives me such a thrill.

People are always shy and think that they won't look good in a photograph, but I think that everyone can look good with proper lighting or a good camera, with someone that knows how to use that camera.

I was diagnosed with Stargardt Macular Dystrophy. A degenerative eye disease. People with this disease end up blind after 10, 20 or even 30 years as there is no cure. After being diagnosed with Stargardt's, I was inspired to get serious about my photography and to get as far as I possibly can before it is too late.

My dream is to start the "Pink Tie Campaign" to raise awarness for Stargardt's disease, as well as raise money for research to find a cure. One in 10 000 people are diagnosed with Stargardt's, and I have decided that it is my personal mission and duty to help those that are going through the same thing as I am.
